Building

Building in the open

isn’t a faceless startup with a growth deck. It’s software made by one person who runs their own thing too, and wanted tools that respect that. So I’m building it the way I’d want to watch it built: in the open, one honest release at a time.

Why in the open

New software has a trust problem, and it should. You have no reason to believe a private-by-design tool from someone you’ve never heard of. Reviews take time to earn, and I’d rather earn them than fake them.

So instead of testimonials I don’t have yet, I’ll show you the work: what shipped, what’s next, and where it falls short. Momentum you can watch is more honest than a wall of five-star quotes.

What’s shipped so far

  • Business: a private workspace for money, invoices, stock and clients, free to start.
  • Local-first storage with an encryptable Vault: your data lives on your device; turn on end-to-end encryption and even I can’t open it.
  • A native Mac app, alongside the web app and an installable mobile app.
  • Life and VPN in private beta, sharing the same account and the same privacy foundation.

How to shape it

I read every email that comes in. If something’s missing, clunky, or wrong, that feedback is exactly how it gets good. Tell me at hello@sedonis.com.

If you want to follow along, the best way is to use it. Sedonis Business is free to start, and everything you put in stays yours.
