These are the seller fees Turnover works with, and every calculator on this site. Each comes from the marketplace’s own UK page, with the date it was read. When a marketplace changes its fees, this page changes, and so does the date.

  1. Vinted

    UK seller

    No selling fee. The buyer pays Buyer Protection on top of your price.

    • Buyer Protection is paid by the buyer, "usually 3% to 8% + £0.3 to £0.8", shown at checkout. It does not come out of your price.
    • Optional extras you choose to buy, such as Bump and Showcase, are priced at checkout.

  2. eBay

    UK private seller

    No final value fee and no regulatory operating fee.

    • Applies to UK-based private sellers. Motors listings (cars, motorcycles, vehicles) are excluded.
    • A private seller based outside the UK pays 12.8% + 30p per order, plus a 0.42% regulatory operating fee.

  3. eBay

    UK business seller, clothes, shoes and accessories

    11.9% final value fee + 0.35% regulatory operating fee + 30p per order (40p over £10).

    • The final value fee depends on category: most are 9.9% to 12.9%. 11.9% is the standard rate for clothes, shoes and accessories, the reseller default here.
    • Fees are worked out on the total sale, including the postage the buyer pays. The calculators here work on the item price, so add postage to the price for an exact eBay figure.

  4. Depop

    UK seller

    No selling fee. Payment processing of 2.9% + 30p per sale.

    • Processing is charged on the item price plus shipping. The buyer pays a separate marketplace fee.
    • If a sale comes through a Boosted listing, an extra 12% applies. Boosting is optional and not modelled here.

  5. Vestiaire Collective

    All sellers, GBP

    12% selling fee (a flat £10 under £83) + 3% payment processing, minimum £3.

    • A flat £2,000 replaces the 12% above £16,667. The minimum listing price is £14.
    • GBP pricing effective 9 March 2026. Listing is free; fees apply only when an item sells.

  6. Etsy

    UK seller

    6.5% transaction fee + 4% + 20p payment processing + 0.48% regulatory operating fee.

    • The transaction fee is charged on the item price plus delivery and gift wrap.
    • Each listing also costs US$0.20 to publish, once per listing rather than per sale, so it is left out of the per-sale figure.

what is left out, and why.

  • Optional extras you choose to buy. Vinted bumps and Showcase, Depop Boosted listings and eBay promoted listings change with your choices, so they are not in the per-sale figure.
  • Fees paid by the buyer. Vinted’s Buyer Protection and Depop’s marketplace fee come out of the buyer’s pocket, not your price.
  • Marketplaces we cannot source. A fee goes in only when the marketplace publishes it for sellers. A guessed fee would be worse than a missing one.
  • Logging in for you. Turnover never signs in to a marketplace, posts, edits or delists. You tell it what sold; it does the maths.
