What is Chargeback?

When a customer disputes a card payment and the bank reverses it.

A chargeback is a forced refund initiated by the customer’s bank, usually for a disputed or fraudulent charge. The money is taken back from you, sometimes with a fee.

Clear invoices, good records and clear terms are your best defence, they give you evidence if a payment is ever disputed.
